Jean P. Rivers, 72, of Willington, CT, died Monday, July 10, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT, after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Everett Rivers, who predeceased her on December 13, 2003. Jean was born in Read Obituary
Loretta, John, and Susan, so very sorry for the loss of your mother, such a shock to you and to all of us who loved her. Just recently had the opportunity to spend some time with her, and we had such a good time. I'm so sorry to here of Jean's passing. I enjoyed working with Jean and Everett as their financial advisor and sorry that neither got to enjoy the retirement they had worked so hard for. They were wonderfull people and clients and I will miss our relationship.

Whenever you see a notice marking the death of someone from your hometown you are immediately transported back to your childhood where news of this individual's passing is akin to a loss in your own family. My sympathy and condolences go out to Jean's friends and family, especially Loretta, who are left to mourn her passing and celebrate the life that touched theirs. These people now become her living legacy entrusted to embrace and share her wisdom, talents and passions. Through their lives her memory lives on and the influence and impact tangible evidence life ends but love lives on in those to whom your life touched. In the end what greater legacy is there than to know you mattered...and Jean did and does.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this trying time. Jean was a very special woman. I will never forget the many kindnesses she showed to me over the years. She always had kind words and a wonderful smile whenever I was around her. Thanks to all of you for being such wonderful friends to me over the years. I will miss Jean very much.
