Aunt Ida, Marie and family: I am so sorry to hear about Uncle John. I extend my deepest sympathies to you at this difficult time of loss. I have the fondest of memories of the love, kindness, assistance and support Uncle John provided my family throughout my life and especially during my childhood. So many memories have come to mind since his passing of the many phone calls to him from my mother. Whether it was the water pump losing its prime, the broken washing machine, the furnace not heating or a chimney fire, Uncle John always came to the rescue with a helping hand. He was definitely our HERO! He was a master of repair. I don't think there was anything he couldn't fix. He also loved my mother?s homemade donuts. Every time mom made them, Uncle John somehow always came to the door...what an incredible sense of smell. And how he loved to tell a story... His fishing stories were the best! I envied his gardening skills and enjoyed his homemade wine. We are blessed that Uncle John touched our lives in so many ways. Love Pat
