Dear Sharon and Adam, I'am truely sorry for your loss. John was such a trooper. He is at peace now, along with Moe and Frank.
Adam, Sharon and the Watkinson Family:
You have my deepest sympathies on the passing of John. While I only knew him for 7 years, I wished I had known him years ago. While I was at Evergreen, there were a few residents that I got to know but John was the one I was closest to. I enjoyed talking with him and the irony was he reminded me of my father when he was still with my family. The similarities were many and I took a liking to John immediately.
John and I talked regularly and he always seemed to know when I was giving a potential new employee a tour. He would stop me and say hello to the candidate. He always had a kind word for the candidate but he always followed that up with a joke or one of his poems and at times, I had to hold my breath as I did not know which joke or poem he would recite as he had some good ones, some a tad racy. But at the end, we always wound up laughing and it was good to see his interactions with the candidates and they appreciated John as well.
I miss you John and hope you are at peace
