Hipsky family... our hearts go out to you. We were so sorry to learn about you loss, and mourn along with you. We'll always remember what a warm, generous man Sonny was, and feel lucky to have known him (and the rest of you) better and better over the recent years. He was truly salt of the Earth. God bless you guys.
Mr Hipsky, I have your face clear in my mind-always laughing. You are a gift to our family and to everyone you've known. Love you always, always.
Dear Sweetie & Family, My heartfelt sympathy & prayers are with you.

Ellen, Jamie, Joey, Mike & Charlene,
We still are in shock. We will always remember the great times shared with Sunny, Ellen & the children. Always a friendly smile for us all as we arrived for parties & skating on the back pond.
Sunny was an amazing husband, Dad & friend. He will be greatly missed by us all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time.
Love,
Linda & Dave
Sonny was one of a kind and a credit to his parents. We used to live next door to Joe & Sophie back in the late 60's to early 70's. So, we've known Sonny a long time. After our move to Mansfield in 1973, for years, we bought hay from the Hipsky's. It was the BEST hay we ever fed, and it was delivered without charge!
Once, when we needed to remove our oil tank from our Tinkerville Rd. house cellar, Sonny came with his back hoe to bury it beside the foundation. We have yet to see such artistry and skill again since.
A memorable experience, as we were new to the area, one Winter day we were returning home from Willimantic with much needed groceries in tow, when our normally dependable Volkswagen bogged down and stopped on the far reaches of Tinkerville. Our Guardian Angel, Sonny, suddenly appeared from out of nowhere with his pick-up, equipped with a snowblade. He didn't stop to embarrass us, he simply dropped his blade and plowed a few feet bare, enough for us to get a headway and get home on our own.
He is without a doubt an unforgettable person who obviously touched many, many lives, and as it's been already stated by others, we are all better for having known Sonny.
Goodbye, Sonny. We'll be seeing you.
Ellen I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. I remember our times together when we were younger. (much younger)
RIP "Sunny". I only knew you for a few years but you were instantly 'one of a kind'. You and Harold helped me out a few years back and it was a real joy. I will miss knowing you're just up the road.. and seeing you go by. Love your ready smile and what you stood for. RIP and God Bless you and your family.
To the Hipsky family-
As one of the nurses and aides who cared for your husband and father, I want to say that your family touched our hearts. We all mourn the death of Mr. Joseph Hipsky. May your closeness as a family sustain you at this sorrowful time. Sincerely, Karen King
