Joseph Hipsky,'s Obituary
Joseph “Sonny” Hipsky, Jr., 68, of Willington, CT, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Rockville General Hospital, Rockville, CT. He was born in Stafford, CT, son of the late Joseph Hipsky, Sr. and Sophie (Dec) Hipsky. Sonny served his country during the Vietnam era in the U.S. Army. He was the owner/operator of Hipsky Construction, LLC, and was a former second selectman for the Town of Willington. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Ellen (Champagne) Hipsky; four children, Jamie, Joseph III, Michael, and Charlene; four sisters, Beverly Lublin of Brooklyn Heights, NY, Phyllis Cherwon and her husband Joseph of Orange, CT, Jocelyn Hipsky of Willington, CT, and Virginia Stigliani-Hipsky of Maine; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Dolores Hipsky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT (Please meet at the Church). Burial will be held privately. Calling hours are on Friday from 3-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
