Josephine Cournoyer's Obituary
Josephine C. Cournoyer, 89, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Emile O. Cournoyer, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2006 with her loving family at her side. She was born on August 2, 1917 under an apple tree at her family farm in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Michael and Rachel (DePace) DeFeo. Josephine retired from LaPointe Industries as a foreman. She was a member of St. Edward Parish. Gram's passions were: her family, gardening, and her amazing mostaccioli and meatballs. Her family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the wonderful staff at Evergreen Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit for the loving care they gave her. Josephine is survived by two sons, Robert E. Cournoyer and his wife Barbara of Somers, CT, and Gregory P. Cournoyer and his wife Rose of Florida; a daughter, Deborah C. Hillebrecht and her husband Brian of Stafford Springs, CT; five grandchildren, Anthony Cournoyer and his wife Robin, Jeffrey Cournoyer and his wife Shannon, Anne Cournoyer-Accorsi and her husband Michael, Jason Cournoyer and his wife Michelle, and Keith Hillebrecht and his wife Christine; eight great grandchildren, Jonathan, Alex, Nathan, Kate, Megan, and Noah Cournoyer, and Joshua and Abigail Hillebrecht; a special sister-in-law Janice DeFoe of Enfield, CT; a brother-in-law, William French, Sr. of Stafford Springs, CT; a wonderful caring niece, Jacqueline Gravaline; and many wonderful and loving nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 with a procession forming at 1 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 P.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
