Laura M. Kinlock, 69, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born in Bethpage, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Vera (Cenctali) Majikas, and she grew up in Glen Cove, NY and Deer Read Obituary
I'm so sorry to hear of Laura's passing. I miss her posts on Facebook of her beautiful paintings and how she would share her walks with Ed.
We were best friends in junior high school we shared many fun loving memories . Laura had a unique sense of humor she could put a smile on anybody's face. My condolences to her family! 💔
Laura was the sun shining on Ed, his family, and those that loved her. She left so much behind- her love of beauty and care for the world- her shining light.
Laura made contributions to the Stafford Lions Club calendar in the past. We so appreciated her artistic talents. She was a wonderful member of our community.
I worked with Laura at Skaneateles High School...loved her smile and optomistic attitude! She was a joy to work with! I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
Laura will be deeply missed. I wouldn't be half the health educator if it wasn't for the guidance and support from Laura. She and I worked closely together for years in Baldwinsville and she helped me to become a more empathetic, understanding and nurturing young teacher, and I have grown tremendously because of her. Her guidance has stayed with me for 20 + years of teaching and I still speak about her amazing presence to my students today. She was a gift to us and so many more and will be missed for sure. My condolences to Laura's family and friends.

Mrs. Kinlock (Laura as she would insist I call her in my adult years) changed my life in innumerable ways by being the counselor at my high school. She believed in me and eventually got me involved in both Youth to Youth and Teen Institute; programs that helped build the blueprint of who I would be as an adult. Laura believed in me and supported me in a way that will never leave me. Thank you Mrs. Kinlock- I owe you everything.
My Dear Sweet Laura, from the moment we met at that BBQ circle our 1st night on campus at SUNY Oswego, until this week... You have been a steady, positive presence in my life. We shared many wild & crazy times at college, our junior year abroad, a house senior yr., psychic readings, relocating from LI to Oswego, weddings, children, husbands (who actually got along) to growing up, getting respectable, responsible jobs, homes & visits with play dates for our children to meet. We were fortunate to maintain contact and visit frequently right up until last year. I will miss your laugh, your take on our world, your appreciation for Nature and Art, your calling me -‘Pea’ … and above all your beautiful non-judgmental friendship. The planet lost a beautiful Soul this week - may you shine upon your family & help spread peace from Heaven❣️️ 🙏💐😇🥰
