Laura M. Kinlock's Obituary
Laura M. Kinlock, 69, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born in Bethpage, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Vera (Cenctali) Majikas, and she grew up in Glen Cove, NY and Deer Park, NY. She was a student assistance counselor at Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY and at Skaneateles High School in Skaneateles, NY, where she was also the advisor for the Youth to Youth and Teen Institute programs. Many students will recall the love, support, and empathy that she brought to her work. Laura retired as a social worker for Onondaga County in Syracuse, NY. Laura dedicated her retirement to creating art under the name "Quiet Corner Musings," and she was a member of Arts Center East in Vernon, CT and the Manchester Art Association in Manchester, CT. Her art left the world a more beautiful place. She loved taking walks in nature, photography, and spending time with family and friends. Laura is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Edward; two children, Alexander and his wife Megan, and Nicole and her husband Drew; her sister, Anita Taylor and her husband Paul; and many cousins and extended family members. Calling hours are on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, with reception to follow.
