Lorraine A. Smart's Obituary
Lorraine A. Smart, 89, of Stafford Springs, CT, and formerly of Newington, CT, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in South Portland, ME, daughter of the late William and Gladys (Waterman) Palmer. Lorraine worked for many years at Travelers Insurance. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newington, and a member of the Newington Senior Center. Lorraine also volunteered at the Jefferson House in Newington, and as an English tutor. She was very active at her church, food share, and senior center. Above all, she cherished her family and the time she was able to spend with them. Lorraine is survived by her three daughters, Juanita Smart of Clarion, PA, Sandra Klotzer and her husband Stuart of Stafford Springs, CT, and Paula Kron and her husband Thomas of Union, MO; eleven grandchildren, Joshua Cefaratti and his wife Rita, Daniel Cefaratti and his wife Tabitha, James Cefaratti and his fiancé Vanessa Alfisi; and Samuel, Emily, Benjamin, D.J., Cedric, Hannah, Ruthann, and Mehari Kron; three great grandsons, Wade, Zachary, and Wesley Cefaratti; Amanda Roberge, Lorraine’s devoted and dedicated caregiver who brought joy and laughter to Lorraine everyday she spent with her; and her faithful, beloved companions, Henry, Dewey, Savannah, and Pepper, always by her side for a snuggle or doggie kiss. A calling hour will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 1-2 P.M., with a memorial service to take place at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
