Louise Ann (Pincince) Tucker's Obituary
Louise Ann “Lou Ann” (Pincince) Tucker, 73, of Dade City, FL peacefully went home to be with Jesus at 8:17 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. The family is heartbroken at the loss of their Wife, Mother, Noni, Auntie Lou, Sissy and Friend but comforted to know that she has been reunited with loved ones who have gone before and is no longer suffering. After being diagnosed with lung cancer this fall, Lou Ann was blessed to be the center of a “living memorial” of sorts, where loved ones traveled from near and far to be by her side to share a toast, a laugh and a warm hug - memories that will last forever.
Louise was born on June 4, 1949 in Stafford Springs, Connecticut to Marcellin and Esther Pincince. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas Tucker, her two daughters Kristen and her husband Kristofer “SonBass” Bassingthwaite, Karen and her husband Jason Garner; her three grandsons, Tucker, Tanner and Trey Garner and her three furry grandsons Toby, Bailey and Mookie Bassingthwaite; her siblings and their spouses, Elaine and Marty Boldi and Lary and Carla Pincince; and her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She became “Mama Lou” to many of her daughters’ friends, including Amy (Forte) Miller, who she affectionately referred to as her third daughter.
She attended Our Lady of The Angels Academy and Southern Connecticut State University, where she earned her teaching certification. She always looked back fondly on her years as a 3rd grade teacher at St. Edwards’ School. Lou Ann and Tom later owned LT Graphics in Vernon, CT for 13 years where she worked as the manager and typesetter.
Lou Ann was the life of the party, and with her husband by her side, they enjoyed countless trips to the casino, live music events and Moody Blues concerts. She loved the beach where she could enjoy the sunshine, salt water, a Maine lobster and a cold drink with her family and friends. In her last days, even though her body was failing, Lou Ann never lost her sense of humor and wit. The Moody Blues played constantly by her bedside, with the hit song “Go Now” playing just moments before her last breath.
The family would like to thank Hospice for their love and support during her final days. Special thanks to cousin Linda Trott who supported Lou Ann’s daughters during her end-of-life care.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family of Louise A. Tucker would prefer to have donations made to HPH Hospice.
