Michael J. Kirchhoff's Obituary
Michael J. Kirchhoff, 65, of Tolland, CT passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at home. He was born in Meriden, CT, son of the late Edward and Carmen (Agostini) Kirchhoff. Michael graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in electrical engineering. After working as an engineer for ten years, he became a certified physics and science teacher. He spent his teaching career at Cheney Technical and Windham Technical High Schools. He was also a member of the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church in Manchester for 33 years, where he was a part of the Prison, Band, Convalescent Home and Missions Outreach (WWLM) Ministries. For 33 years, he was an integral part of the bluegrass gospel band Higher Ground. The band loved to bring the love of God to many groups with their joyful music and encouragement. Michael is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 37 years, Catherine (Vigezzi) Kirchhoff; daughter, Diana Rice and her husband Erik; grandsons, Zachary and Jacen Rice; siblings, Edward Kirchhoff, Jr., Linda Majica, and Diana Horvath and her husband Rudy; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. His funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 beginning at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
