Norma (Ricci) Formeister, 100, of Stafford, CT, wife of the late Edward Formeister, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, one month shy of her 101st birthday. She was born in Stafford, CT, daughter of the late Frenchi and T Read Obituary

I always found Norma to be such a pleasant person to be around. She brings a smile to my face, when I think of her. Comfort and Peace to the family.
I saw Norma on Sundays at church she was always dressed nice and I wouldn’t have guessed she was 100 she got around good for her age she was blessed by God to live longer than most..God bless her Journey home to be with her savior

Like my brother Gordon, we spent numerous days playing with Jimmy and Frankie, at the Formeister home just up from our parents home. Of course first we had to help pick blueberries in the summer before playing. I remember the small room behind the living room where we watched the B&W Tv of the day. Norma was always working in the kitchen often baking or freezing those dozens of quarts of blue berries or baking pies, muffins etc. I still can see Norma in her white nurse uniform and cap of the day as she went off to Johnson Memorial both the old and present hospital. I always looked for Norma at mass at St. Edwards when I attended special masses for my parents as I have moved to Ellington. So many memories of a wonderful lady and will visit her and Ed's resting place just 2 rows behind my parents and think of those memories when I do. God bless her and my most sincere condolences for you Jimmy and Frankie and your families in this time of sadness. Know that your mom was one of the nicest and greatest person's I've had the pleasure to know and respect.

My childhood found me at the Formeister house with Jimmy and Frankie. Norma was such a lovely mother, so kind and gentle. She made the most delicious blueberry pie with the berries grown by Ed on their land. She often made a single pie just for me. My sincerest condolences go to Jimmy and Frankie and all her family. May Norma rest in eternal peace with her loving husband.
Mrs. Formeister was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. I never drove through West Stafford without commenting so as I passed the family home. My heart goes out to Jim, Frank and all her family.
