Philip M. Choma Jr.'s Obituary
Philip M. Choma, Jr., 52, of Fern Park, FL, and formerly of Tolland, CT, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Philip M., Sr. and Ann (Ransom) Choma. Phil was self employed as a general contractor and always went above and beyond in his work. He enjoyed fishing, collecting sports memorabilia, and going to concerts and football games. Above all, he loved his wife and daughter and the time he spent with them. Phil is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kathleen (Barry) Choma; daughter, Deanna Choma; three siblings, Maryann Marsh, James Choma, and Patrick Choma and his wife Debra; father-in-law, John J. Barry, Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stacey and Kevin Slater, Kristin and Timothy Kealy, and John “Jack” and Karen Barry; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Barry. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 8:30 – 10:00 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT. Burial will follow in East Hartland Cemetery, East Hartland, CT.
