Ramona H. Garvais' Obituary
Ramona H. Garvais, 93, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Monie, as we lovingly referred to her, lived a rich, joyous life growing up and living her life on the farm in the house her grandfather built in Stafford. She always welcomed all who visited with a pot of coffee and all the food you could eat whether you just had dinner or not. Monie never had a bad work of anyone, always offering kind words of encouragement to all, wonderful stories and fond memories of growing up in Stafford with her parents, Augustus and Myrtle (Chapman) Garvais, and her four siblings; Dorothy Pisciotta, Richard Garvais, Marjorie Hine and Sherwood Garvais, who all predeceased her. She is survived by all of her nephews and their families; Richard Garvais, Fred and Larry Hine, Wayne, Richard, John and Ronald Pisciotta, who will all lovingly miss her. She was predeceased by her nephews; Joseph Pisciotta and Jim Hine; and her niece, Carol Lavoie. In addition to her family, Monie also leaves behind her dear friends Ray and Shirley Roy, Earl and Yuki Goodwin, Lena Kurek, Judy Thayer, and her special caregiver Masha, who cared for Monie with great love and respect the last years of her life. We would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Johnson Memorial Hospital who took such great care in comforting her these last few weeks. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 with calling hour from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT.
