Raymond Armelin's Obituary
Raymond A. Armelin, 71, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Aldo and Elizabeth (Bolieau) Armelin. Ray retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections as a warehouse manager. He was the proprietor of Nono's Antiques, a proud member of all three Fire Departments in the Town of Stafford for 43 years, a constable for the Town of Stafford for 12 years, worked at the Stafford Motor Speedway for 47 years, and was a member of the Italian Benefit Society. He loved being with his family and friends, and also greatly enjoyed racing, having been a Dale Earnhardt enthusiast. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Dawn (Newman) Armelin; four sons, Anthony Armelin and his wife Terry, Paul Armelin, Todd Newman, and Charlie Newman and his wife Jennifer; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a sister, Nancy Farrington; a brother, Richard Armelin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Allen Armelin. His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
