Dear Joyce and Janice. Your father was an incredible man. He had a great sense of humor. I worked at evergreen healthcare and your father was one of the first residents i met. We became good friends. He kept me on my toes all the time. We would watch the New York Yankee games on his tv and the food channel. He was one of a kind and will always be someone i have the honor to call him a friend.
Your Dad was always a very good friend to my father, Warren Bradway. He was always there whenever our family needed him for anything. He was responsible for my sisters (Barbara Kellem and Linda Sprague) and myself registering to vote, he gave us each rides to the town hall when we reached the appropriate ages. IT SHOULD BE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT HE WAS RESPONSIBLE,AMONG OTHER MATTERS,DURING HIS TERM IN THE LEGISLATURE FOR OBTAINING AVERY PARK FOR THE TOWN OF STAFFORD. MANY PEOPLE HAVE BENEFITED AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. HE LIVES ON! BUTCH
Bigo lived a very long life and I will remember his wonderful smile and kind words and Cousin Judy said the same. I remember Bigo playing boccie at the club and playing cards with my dad (Tubby). He was all ways so freindly and in our hearts he will live on.Sincerly Nancy & cousin Judy
When I was in kindergarten Mr. Calchera drove a station wagon school bus up Old Springfield & Tetrault Roads picking up students and then dropping them off at West Stafford School; in those days there was no school bus that ran up those roads. I always remember Mr. Calchera used to tell us kids that his wagon has a magic window in the tailgate AND we believed him...little did we know it was electric. I am glad he lived a long and interesting live, he will be missed.
