Richard A. Botti's Obituary
Richard A. Botti, 71, of Andover, CT, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Emilio and Carmelina (Attardo) Botti. Rick served in the United States Army Reserves. He was the owner/operator of Botti Plumbing and Heating for 44 years. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Columbia Congregation since 1998. Rick had a passion for cars and drag racing. Above all, he was a hard worker and loved spending time with his family. Rick also loved to travel. He took several trips to Hawaii, Italy and Newport, RI, he and his wife’s favorite getaway spot. Sharing good food and wine with friends and family brought him joy. Rick was a friend to everyone he met and was always eager to help those in need, especially those he cared for. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Hope (Herzog) Botti; daughters, Jennifer Tripoli and her husband Mark, Amber DiBernardi and her husband David, and Leah Legare and her husband Shane; grandchildren, Breanna Canales, Darcy Canales, Norah Tripoli, Emilia DiBernardi, Olivia DiBernardi, Charlotte Legare, and Cecilia Legare; siblings, Constance Santariga and her husband Anthony, Emil Bruce Botti and his wife Angela, and Laura Unterreiner and her husband Bill; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on August 3, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 96 Quarry Street, Willimantic, CT. Attendance is also available via Zoom.
