Rita L. Glod, 72, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Akron, OH, daughter of the late Burlin and Mary (McKinnon) Goolsby. She was a member of St. Edward Church a Read Obituary

I knew Rita in grade school. She was the kindest, sweetest girl. We reconnected at St. Edward's Church many years ago--talking for awhile after Mass. I was so sad to hear of her passing. Even though we didn't get together, I'v always considered Rita to be one of the special people that I looked up to in my life! I'm sure she has a special place in heaven. I'm praying for all her family members as they get through this sad time.

I was so sorry to hear of Rita's passing. I met Rita when she attended the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. Patrick & St. Anthony Church. She used her gift of crochet to develop the original crochet prayer shawl pattern which was published in the book, "The Prayer Shawl Companion." Sending condolences and blessings to her family.
