Rita L. Glod's Obituary
Rita L. Glod, 72, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Akron, OH, daughter of the late Burlin and Mary (McKinnon) Goolsby. She was a member of St. Edward Church and the Red Hat Society. Rita had a passion for knitting, and enjoyed being part of a prayer shawl knitting group. She also assembled rosaries for various charities. She loved traveling all over the United States and dining out with her husband, Joe, socializing with friends, and collecting Snow Babies. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph R. Glod; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her five siblings, Peter, Frank and Al Goolsby, Jeannie Hogan and Judy Gorski. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be private.
