Dear Tyler family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Bob and I worked together many years at Mattesen Garage in Stafford. He taught me many new tricks of the trade and especially all he knew about transmissions which I still use at my age today. He was a friend to many and had a special manner that will not be forgotten. Our daughter, Nancy, enjoyed her time with him working on a book at the Historical Society in Union. He had many stories to tell and she enjoyed every one of them and would call us later and tell us what Bob told her. He brightened her day and ours. Peace and love to you all.

Sincere condolences to all of Bob's family and friends. You could always count on Bob. He saw what needed to be done, and without being asked took care of it: whatever it was, at the Church at the Museum on the Green, at the UVFD, he was there! Never wanting recognition, his quiet competence and shy smile will be greatly missed. The Union Historical Society salutes this wonderful man.
