Robert E. Tyler Sr.'s Obituary
Robert E. Tyler, Sr., 93, of Union, CT, husband of the late Margaret F. (Peck) Tyler, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. He was born in Union, CT, son of the late Joseph and Cora (Lawton) Tyler. Bob had worked as a mechanic at several local garages and car dealerships, and retired as a mechanic supervisor from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation. He was a founding member of the Union Volunteer Fire Department, deacon and parishioner of the Congregational Church of Union, and the Union Cemeteries sexton for many years. Bob is survived by his four children, Robert E. Tyler, Jr., Mark Tyler and Michelle Daniels, Cheryl D’Amico, and Donna Gates and her husband Gerry; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three siblings, Richard and William Tyler, and Roberta Whitman. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 9:30-11:00 AM, with a funeral service to take place at 11:00 AM, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
