Dear Laura and the entire Wing family,
I've been extremely saddened by the news of Scott's passing. It was an honor and privilege to be a small part of Scott's care team in Manchester. I only got to know Scott for a small sliver of his entire life but immediately thought of him as a tremendously nice guy and I always enjoyed our all too short occasions to converse. May God bless Scott's soul and comfort all of you.

It seems I knew Scott all my life. Though we never hung out together. We were the kind of friends that had much in common, loved to gossip about old friends and old times growing up in Enfield. We would run into each other in random places. In the 70s once while snowshoeing by Breakneck Pond at 10 degrees, a mile from the road. Another time while fishing a brook trout stream in Granby. Throughout the years we would say a few words on opening day of trout fishing on Crystal Lake, me with a series of good friends, and he always with Joe Destro, probably for 20-25 years. In time I ended up at the old DEP, Scott was a great help and friend to me, one of the reasons I made it to a pension. He always had Enfield news for me as we would meet randomly over the years. I did not know he had passed until this morning, I wish I could have come in person to give my condolences. Although we had not seen each other for a while, I am saddened knowing there are no more random meetings coming for us. One day I was complaining about growing up in Enfield when we did, Scott admonished me, and reminded me that we grew up in the best of times in a great place, we were the peak of the baby boom and got everything our depression era parents couldn’t dream of. I worked with Scott for many years at DEP/DEEP. He was a terrific person and will be missed by all. I extend my sincere condolences to the Wing Family.
