Shirley Holburn's Obituary
Shirley E. Holburn, 81, of Cooper Lane, Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Manley and Harriett (Mayer) Parker. Shirley enjoyed her work as a volunteer at Johnson Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department for several years. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles J. Holburn; her daughter, Susan Dessert; and granddaughter, Nicole Dessert. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 fom 5-8 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to the Johnson Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, 201 Chestnut Hill Rd., Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
