Theodore W. Rummel, 61, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 10, 2016. He was born in Johnstown, PA, son of Patricia (Fisher) Rummel and the late Theodore Rummel. Ted was Vice President and Real Est Read Obituary
Cindy I am so sorry for your loss. Worked with Ted at J.F. Rowlson Co. for several years. I can still remember how excited and happy he was when you bought your home. He always had a project going and would tell me about it on Monday morning. Loved working with him. Again, condolences to you and your family.

On behalf of the members and appraisal professionals of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, please accept this expression of condolence and sympathy to Ted's family, friends, co-workers, colleagues and to his fellow Connecticut appraisers. His commitment of dedication, experience, intellect, time, energy and his support of integrity in appraisal were exemplary.
It was my personal misfortune only to have a brief acquaintance with Ted during the past two years through attendance at Appraisal Institute events. Ted was one of those event attendees who was readily sought out for shared conversations; his experiences, common sense and wry humor were ever appreciated contributions.
Ted is missed and his fellow appraisers are saddened by his absence which is a unique, irreplaceable void.

The first time I met Ted was a pig roast at the farm. He made me feel welcome and I instantly liked Ted and his family. I have wonderful memories of my visits with Ted and his family.

Ted and I worked together at Bank of New England many years ago, and then he became a client of ours when he was at Citizens and then Webster. I always enjoyed working with Ted, talking with Ted, problem solving with Ted. He was so straight forward, no pretenses. A rare man in this modern world.

Ted and I first met working for John Rowlson Co, back in the early 80's. We then hooked up again in the fun 90's at CBT. He brought a lot of energy to the industry and was a good guy. I am in shock to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.

Ted was a member of the Board of Education that hired me as Superintendent of Schools several years ago. It was obvious from when we first met though our time working closely together that Ted loved his family of whom he spoke so proudly, and he loved Stafford. Ted's love of Stafford rubbed off on me, and I will always be in debt to him for teaching me what a wonderful warm community it is. Therese Fishman
Dear Family and Friends of Ted,
I was shocked and saddened beyond words to learn of Ted's passing. He was such a pillar of the appraisal community.
Ted worked for me after CB&T became Bank of New England and I was corporate chief appraiser. I can recall Ted's contributions to our office meetings and his deep understanding of real estate and appraisal. We developed a mutual respect which has carried through to this day as he has been hiring me for appraisal assignments for Webster Bank.
A few years ago I had appraisals for him in progress when my parents became sequentially ill and I had to travel to Arizona on several occasions. Ted couldn't have been kinder in helping me get extensions on my deadlines and he said so emphatically, "Take care of family first!"
I will greatly miss Ted and remember him fondly.
