Theodore J. Urbanski's Obituary
Theodore J. Urbanski, 73, of Willington, passed on August 5, 2022 after a battle with brain cancer. He was born in Holyoke, MA, and was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Marion (Wilson) Urbanski, brother, George, sister-in-law, Sandy, and several nephews and nieces. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam era. Ted was part of the Suffield School System for more than 25 years and beloved by students and staff. He was also a Scout Master for Troop 263 for many years. Ted was an avid reader and loved history. He participated in Civil War Re-enactments for over 20 years and did historical research on Civil War soldiers. He also authored two short stories for elementary students. Ted was a member of St. Mark’s Chapel, Storrs, CT, and was a registered pet therapy team handler with his current dog, Luke, and many of his previous dogs. He especially loved his wife. Ted is survived by his wife, Susan M. Gagnon, his children, Joshua of Nantucket, MA, his daughter, Rebecca, and son-in-law, Brian Paoletti of Windsor Locks, CT, and Samuel of New London, CT, and grandchildren, Silas and Vayda Paoletti.
