Valerie Sfreddo's Obituary
Valerie Sfreddo, 65, of Somers, CT, and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at her home. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Woodrow and Ellen (Blodgett) Murray. Valerie was a graduate of St. Edward School and Stafford High School. She retired from the Town of Stafford Water Pollution Control facility as a supervisor after 30 years. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Edward Church, and member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Valerie is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Peter Sfreddo; son, Scott Sfreddo and his wife Kimberly; grandson, Aaron Sfreddo; sister-in-law, Nancy Bennett; nephew, Monty Bennett; special friends, Eileen Tocchetti, Roseann Scussel, and Mary Ann Julian; and her dear friends, the YaYa’s. The family would like to send a special thanks to the hospice staff and nurses at Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut, Dr. M. Pazooki, Dr. Timothy Silvis, and Dr. Ira Pollack. Her funeral will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
