We were very saddened to hear of Wally's passing. He was a very good neighbor in Cedar Pointe Stuart and a dear friend. A gentle man who was always kind,generous and compassionate. A man always there to help his neighbors.
He cared deeply for Lorraine and his family. May he rest in peace.

My name is Frank Bernini. I knew from Springfield growing up. I was surprised and delighted to bump into him when I visited his naval ship during the Korean War. We got together that night and went out on the town in Naples Italy. Walt was a great guy and we had a wonderful evening. I paid to have this photo taken to commemorate our chance meeting. I am the one seated in the center and I believe his friend who sits to my right in the photo went by the nickname Guido.
