My friendship with Wayne started just over 30 years ago. We started talking about Real Estate, as He and Kathe wanted to get out of Wales, MA. I had struck out to start Connecticut Crossroads Realty. Wayne called my former office, and several times was told 'He's no longer here, can I help you?" Wayne badgered the broker until he disclosed how he could reach me! That was the beginning, which lead to their home in Union (another fun story), the cell tower, looking for tower sites, Crossroads Site Management, knocking down a few Guiness's, and an unforgettable trip to Montserrat. That friendship changed my life. He was one of a kind!

So sorry to learn of Wayne’s passing. As his dentist I was privileged to see him and his wonderful smile every few months. I always enjoyed the time hearing his stories and adventures. I know he particularly loved his time with Kathy at their island home. I know we will all miss that wonderful laugh. Nice to know he has found peace after some tough physical struggles. Wayne was such a friendly and generous man, he will truly be missed. I have a memory I would like to share. One summer Wayne asked me to help him with a project at the beach house in R.I. Luckily it was a non-tech project since I am truly non-tech. We put up a rope hand rail on the side steps. Just hard work by hand getting the hardware and materials, figuring out angles and measurments. We did a fantastic job! It looks so good with the nautical theme, (Brass hardware and good thick line) I know it will last a long time. Wayne was a true friend, kind and generous, always a smile on his face. He will surely be missed!

Wayne, I will CHERISH every moment I had the privilege of spending together you. Our trip to the Grand Canyon, the smile on your face when we flew our drones, lunch at Reins Deli and chicken wings in Union. I will never forget your smile, the laughs we shared and the last hug I was able to give you. You were a blessing and a gift to my life. My parents and I were on vacation with him and Aunty Kathy down at the Rhode Island beach house. I was still learning to drive and only had a permit but I drove my mom’s car home from dinner with her and Aunty Kathy for practice. Uncle Wayne (and my dad) thought it would be funny to come roaring up behind me in his big truck and blare his sirens and then blast around me. I still remember looking over and seeing him and my dad laughing in the car while I was mildly panicking about being pulled over at 16.
I know him and my dad are having a drink and causing chaos together wherever they are. 💚
