Wilbur R. "Wil" Walker, 83, of Rockville, CT and formerly of Staffordville, CT, passed away on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Rockville General Hospital, Rockville, CT. He was the owner/operator of the former Wil's Pizza and Coffee Read Obituary
I started in scouting in 1950 with the Cub Scouts. A couple of months later, the Boy Scouts allowed eleven-year-olds to join. Wilbur was my first scoutmaster. He cared about his scouts. I was fortunate to have experienced his leadership.

Dear folks, Our family, Emma and Dan Mathewson and 6 sons have great memories of Wils pizza shop. Many times we would go there and were not charged because we had so many kids. Emma and Dan both died in 1994. I am the 5th son and have been a Pastor is Ohio for 37 years. My wife Sandy and I have 2 grown daughters with 5 granchildren. Stacy lives in the Columbus, OH area and Amy is married to a Pastor and they Pastor a church in Cincinnati, Oh area. We have great memories of Wilbur Walker and want to express our condolences at his home going. May God bless all of you richly.

We certainly express our condolances to the Walker family. Wilbur meant so much to our family expecially after my Dad passed away. He was so generous and kind to my Mother as she was a widow for so many years. We have many wonderful memories and as well as laughs to share over all the years we were friends.

To Wil's family: We've known Wil since he had the pizza shop. His pizzas were simply delicious. I remember how kind he was when we had ordered a pizza and my husband and 3-year old daughter went down to get it. Upon arriving at the house the pizza slipped from my daughter's hands and wouldn't you know our dog was right there. Needless to say the dog had pizza for lunch. We ordered another one and when my husband went back down to pick it up Wil wanted to know why we were ordering another one. My husband told him the story. He would not allow us to pay or another one. We will never forget his kindness. Kay M. Warren
